General Overview

ReBooked is a non-profit social enterprise, “ReBooked”, which provides a platform for promoting sustainability in literacy. Established in 2019, with over 100,000 books collected, 25,000 books re-sold and both an online and retail presence in Hong Kong’s central district, ReBooked is now Hong Kong's biggest bookshop for second hand children's books. ReBooked has also recently expanded to Brazil in March of 2022, and plans to expand to Turkey during the summer of 2022 as well.

ReBooked is currently recruiting volunteers to lead their school chapters. The aim of ReBooked school chapters is to: a) promote a love of reading within the school community through book readings/storytellings and/or reading
support for younger children or ESL learners, b) book drives to collect books for ReBooked and partner organizations, c) use social media to promote a love of reading, giving back and supporting sustainable initiatives, d) any other
additional ideas from the ReBooked team or from their volunteers.

Requirements

● Age range: 13-18
● Enrolled in a school at the time of signing up
● Basic command in English (verbal & written communication), no other languages required
● No previous work experience required

● Ideal skills include: organization, logistics and planning, communication, social media marketing

Roles and Responsibilities

● Creating social media posts
● Organizing book drives, book readings, other events
● Reading and teaching English to younger students
● More specific details can be discussed upon in the future
