General Overview
The YMCA of Hong Kong Camping and Community Programmes Section organizes camp activities for children ages 5-14 regularly. Their seasonal camping team is built around a core of energetic and dedicated youngsters who are eager to make a difference in children’s lives. The YMCA provides all staff and volunteers with pre-camp training, guaranteeing a better understanding of the programmes.
Requirements

Age 15 or above

Basic Command of English (Communication & Written)

Team- oriented

Out- going, responsible, patient and willing to take on new challenges

Experience preferred but not necessary
Roles and Responsibilities

Work alongside a Camp counsellor to deliver activities throughout the camps (Day camps activities include mass games, songs, sports activities, art & craft sessions, cookery, out-trips, team building games etc; Residential camps activities include all of the above plus water sports activities, archery, rope course, campfire, night games etc.)

Attend pre-camp and post-camp meetings

Conduct proper campers’ care and supervision

Facilitate a fun and safe learning environment for campers

Integrate the YMCA four core values into all camp activities

Assist Counsellors and Co-ordinators in all camp related responsibilities
